]]>I ordered and received a Dell Latitude 820 last week. I ordered it with a 2.16 Dual Core Processor, a whopping 4GB of memory and 100Gb Hard Drive. Why you ask? Because I also decided to get it installed with Windows Vista Business Edition and my experience with Microsoft Windows OS's is the more processor speed and RAM the better. I was also trying to rectify some mistakes I made the last time I ordered a laptop from Dell. One was I only bought 1GB of RAM last time even though the computer was expandable to 2GB. I thought I would eventually upgrade, but never did. The last time I ordered, Windows XP had recently come out and I thought I would stick with my tried and true Windows 2000 Pro OS. Specifically, his reasoning involved the fact that Teratech had begun to sell the audio recordings of last years conference and has plans to produce and sell video from the conference to be held this year. Jeffrey's concerns when we spoke mainly had to do with control. He is a musician and as such, the quality of recordings of his voice and materials seemed to be his main focus in our discussion.
As Jeffrey pointed out in his blog posting, starting with the 2005 CFUNITED conference (which was a bigger and much more professionally run conference than the previous CFUN conferences), speakers were required to agree to a speakers' agreement which included the following:

]]>The problem can be traced to an install of the MyEclipse plugin. Once I disabled MyEclipse, the query viewer worked really well. However, I didn't want to lose other functionality that MyEclipse gives me so the trick was to uninstall the MyEclipse plugin, verify that the RDS plugin still worked and then install MyEclipse again. Apparently having MyEclipse install after the RDS plugin fixes the problem. My question of course is what happens when the next RDS version is ready to go? I really don't want to have to uninstall and reinstall MyEclipse each and everytime.
